Fox­fon­na is a litt­le ice cap near mine 7 sou­the­ast of Lon­gye­ar­by­en.

The small ice cap Fox­fon­na is sou­the­ast of Lon­gye­ar­by­en, a good 700 met­res abo­ve Advent­da­len clo­se to mine 7. It is quite easi­ly acces­si­ble from the mine and the near­by nor­t­hern light obser­va­to­ry (Kjell Hen­drik­sen Obser­va­to­ri­um) and it is accor­din­gly a popu­lar area for tours, espe­ci­al­ly in the spring and ear­ly sum­mer when snow con­di­ti­ons are good for cross-coun­try ski­ing.

Here, we have got the pan­ora­ma view of Advent­da­len from a moun­tain ter­race just nor­the­ast of Fox­fon­na.

A bit fur­ther south we have an ama­zing view over Fox­dalen.
