With SV Mean­der around Spits­ber­gen, 01st – 18th July 2024

With SV Mean­der around Spits­ber­gen! We could start into the jour­ney with a cou­ple of beau­tiful, most­ly sun­ny days as we went up north into For­lands­und, Kongsfjord and Kross­fjord. Then the wea­ther chan­ged, beco­ming more grey, wet and win­dy. But any­way, we con­tin­ued nor­thwards, and even fur­ther to the north, and east­wards into Hin­lo­pen Strait, fol­lo­wed by sou­the­as­tern Sval­bard, name­ly Barent­søya and Edgeøya, befo­re roun­ding the south cape.

The wea­ther didn’t always make it easy for us, but again and again we mana­ged to be at the right place in the right time. And so was the wild­life …
